The Reading club accomplished a good stroke of business Thursday by securing the signature of Alf West, for five seasons with Liverpool and one season previously with Barnsley.
He is back of considerable ability, and the transfer fee placed on him by Liverpool was heavy.
He is 5ft. 8in. in height, weighs 11st. 10lb., and is 27 years of age.
