Youth star Jimmy Melia to make his debut

Another star of England’s Youth team breaks into League Soccer on Saturday, when Jimmy Melia makes his debut for Liverpool against Nottingham Forest.

Inside right Jimmy is seventeen and has played twenty-three times for Liverpool reserves.

His brilliance as a schoolboy international and in the England Youth team has earned him the label of “Johnny Haynes II.”

Jimmy is a local Liverpool lad and has been skillfully encouraged by manager Don Welsh. He is certain one day to gain a full England cap.
