Liverpool want Van Vuuren

Thursday, August 29 – 1935
Liverpool F.C. have secured the services of Van Vuuren, South Africa’s best goalkeeper, and he sails for this country on September 13th. Negotiations for Van Vuuren, who is 21, 6ft. 1in. in height, and weighs 12st 10lb., have been going on for several weeks, despite reports that he would not leave South Africa. At Anfield he will join South African colleagues in Hodgson, Nieuwenhuys, Riley and Carr.
