Gordon Hodgson for Leeds United

Leeds United have signed Gordon Hodgson, the Aston Villa forward. Gordon Hodgson, who is a South African, joined the Villa last season from Liverpool. He will assist Leeds United the re-arranged League match with Everton at Goodison Park to-morrow.

Last year he was professional at Forthill for Forfarshire Cricket Club.

Hodgson joined Liverpool in 1924 when he came to England with a team of South African Amateurs, and during ten years with the Anfield club he scored 207 goals, and was capped against Scotland, Ireland, and Wales in 1931.

Hodgson moved to Villa last season, but this season had not figured regularly in the side. He can play in any of the inside forward positions. He will be at centre-forward to-morrow.
