Nottingham Forest’s Scottish international striker Peter Cormack yesterday signed for Liverpool in a lightning £110,000 deal.
Forest secretary Ken Smales said: “Liverpool moved fast. I didn’t know anything about the transfer until a few hours before it went through.”
Cormack, 26 on Monday, joined Forest from Hibernian in 1970 for £85,000.
